Stimulus II Real or Imagined?

All a Sideshow, Stay Focused!

All a Sideshow, Stay Focused!

Son of Stimulus a Smoke Screen? Yes!

Think about it. Almost everyone in D.C. knows a 2nd stimulus would cause chaos in the streets. The Tea Parties to this date have been orderly. Committing another trillion dollars will bring down the house.

So what better way to gain ground in the 2010 elections than to bring up Stimulus Bill II talk. Make it seem serious then have legislators bash it endlessly. Maybe even go so far as to present bills in both houses, so they can brag about voting against it.

All the while we are phoning, writing, faxing, protesting loudly on Twitter and in blogs about the stimulus, they are passing cap and trade, national health care, amnesty for illegals, ammunition regulation, and a food nazi bill. The bills cannot be stopped by republicans. More importantly do they really care?

Last round in the Cap and Trade house bill, the margin was slim. In reality, those voting against were the most vulnerable dems. Had it been closer, there would have been just enough to pass the bill. Why is that? If conservatives believe they lost by a small margin, they retain hope, keeping them on the blogs and off the street.

If conservatives believe they have lost and lose hope, things on the fringe start to unravel. Instead of sites like mine calling for peace, the tone will become more strident. My hope– that I will never lose faith in the ability to defend our Republic. Even if I believed all was lost, calling for the overthrow of our government seems beyond my grasp. Pray that none of us reach that point.

I suggest we need to fight hard on every issue. Twitter has some great champions of the protest. Also check resistnet.com for organized efforts to fight every issue. In addition, we must find a way to put millions in the streets. As long as we are local tea parties, the media can ignore us. A million of us in the street at one time will send a message which cannot be ignored by the politicians. After all, their primary goal is to retain their office.

People in the street in the millions brings the less observant to aks, “why?” We need the masses to start asking, “why?” Until we get them wondering about “their” government, we can never take control and re-establish “our” Republic. As long as parties raise money and support candidates, they will dictate platforms, steer conversations and determine who wins and who loses at the local level.

If you do not have a twitter account, get one. I am SWDefense on Twitter. Search for #tcot tags. That should get you started. Do not follow any of the Twitter suggestions at the beginning of the process.

Let your voice be heard. If you have 30 minutes a day, you too can comment on blogs & sites. Comments are factors in getting traffic to sites. Along with visits, comments help a site increase its ranking in Google. If limited government sites rank higher, we become more visible to the curious who might happen by and learn the truth.

We can win. Our fight will not be traditional. We lose if we believe we can win in the traditional political channels. We must win at the local level. Our message of local control must create interest in self government. Most established voices out there believe “self government” to be a fantasy. Can we prove them wrong?
