Obama Can’t Be Trusted With Numbers
So why should we trust him with health care?

In February, President Barack Obama signed a $787 billion stimulus bill while making lavish promises about the results. He pledged that “a new wave of innovation, activity and construction will be unleashed all across America.” He also said the stimulus would “save or create up to four million jobs.” Vice President Joe Biden said the massive federal spending plan would “drop-kick” the economy out of the recession.
But the unemployment rate today is 9.5% — nearly 20% higher than the Obama White House said it would be with the stimulus in place. Keith Hennessey, who worked at the Bush White House on economic policy, has noted that unemployment is now higher than the administration said it would be if nothing was done to revive the economy. There are 2.6 million fewer Americans working than Mr. Obama promised.

In truth, I believe that 9.5% number to be the smallest number the feds can throw out with any chance of being believed. We know they lie like rugs, and having been through a couple of recessions, and seeing the number of people I know out of work, I’d have to opine we’re being lied to. But being a student of human nature, it comes as no surprise. It is almost universal that someone seeking favor will fudge the facts to gain it.
Truth is always best, even when your Sweetie Pie comes and eagerly asks, “honey, do these pants make my ass look fat?” You can truthfully say, “no dear”, because you know her fat ass makes her ass look fat, not those pants. Being a widower, life’s easier in some ways.
From before “bubba” they have been doctoring official numbers from the WH. Actual number is probably close to 20%.
Time will tell if riots will erupt over unemployment.
