No Value Added Tax, Please say No!
Quick note before I jump astride my trusty mower for a session this a.m.
I know Huckabee promoted the Fair Tax and people who support it will give you 9 thousand reasons why it’s good. Juan Williams is for the VAT tax, is that enough reason to say NO? The jr. admin. from IL is for the VAT tax, convinced now?
The VAT tax depending on the amount will add from 10 to 30% to the cost of non-essential items. In Canada and the UK food items do not have a VAT tax, but Coca Cola does. In Belgium restaurants charge VAT tax our meals cost about 50% more than in the U.S. two summers ago.
The value added tax will drive people out of business, which means loss of jobs. There is no winner with a VAT. Well, the congress and administration get to redistribute more of your money.
