Fifty-six percent of people questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey released Friday say they think the federal government’s become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens.

Originally, taxes were raised by the States and send to D.C. to support federal government. The states had control of the federal budget. Small government, small budget- that’s my goal.

Is this “the” litmus test for conservatives? I would say John McCain and Lindsey Graham would not have no problem jumping through that hoop.

If approved by the GOP-controlled House, Virginia would be the second state behind Arizona to pass measures in defiance of the proposed federal legislation. Arizona last year approved a similar constitutional amendment, which will be on the ballot in November.

The time has come for true Conservatives and like-minded Independents to secede from their respective parties and join the Conservative Party of the United States of America.
