Many people are spending the day debating these and many other facets of a game. While it is just a game, it probably gives everyone who is willing, a chance to exhale, take a seat and forget the national disaster upon us for a few hours. Maybe that’s a good thing.

When I think of the millions of dollars spent on this game in advertising, media coverage, tickets, travel expenses, why do it, when we are all broke. You may have money in your account, just as I do, but “we” are broke. We are the government, yes, “We the People” are broke.

That won’t get better if Ben wins, we will see no down turn if Kurt wins. No, Monday, it will be back in the trenches for another week of trying to sort out our future? Should we resort to RollerBall to settle our political differences? Better than civil war.

It’s the rugged veteran with great life story versus the young stalwart with lots of talent and a big heart. There’s no political comparisons there. No one in our current political system can be compared to either man. No we have a bunch of wimpy, people pretending to be leaders all sitting in a pile while telling us they are doing the best for us.

If you are like me, you sent your invitation to the White House Super Bowl party back with a nice regrets note. Seemed the most I could do for the country considering I’d have to fly, rent a couple of floors in a hotel to house my security staff. And then there’s the cost of damages. My boys like to party when they are out of town. No, I’ll spend a nice evening in front of my 65 inch HD, with some snacks and trying to stay out of the political fray until Monday.
