Regardless of what any politician tells you Fair Tax will not eliminate other taxes. It just won’t happen. No nation on the planet has lived up to that promise.

The new version would allow the president to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat. Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for “cybersecurity professionals,” and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license.

Democrats for weeks have been on the defensive, accusing Republicans of mischaracterizing their reform effort.

The majority of citizens came to the microphone to denounce the health care plan as “socialist” and “a government takeover,” but a few, including several from Siskiyou County, spoke in favor of Obama’s plan.

Can one place moral obligation into government? If so, where does the line begin and end? If moral obligation does enter, why do we want to cut off granny’s oxygen?
